February 2012
TASC continues to provide a variety of enriching and learning activities for our participants. The young people learned the importance of sharing their talents and new skills in December with two different events. Beth Baucom taught the children Christmas songs which they performed at a local nursing home. Brenda Lown helped them make Christmas ornaments as gifts. Elaine Frick helped chaperone the trip. Cantor Tom taught the students to play several songs with bells that were performed for the residents at the Marion Street Highrise Christmas Party. Cantor Tom also gave a Christmas party for the children.
CONGRATULATIONS to our director, Queen Bonaparte, for receiving the Legacy Award presented by the National Council of Negro Women for all her work in the Eau Claire Community and various civic organizations and for her work with the Teen After School Center.
